This is to bring to your attention that all foreign students admitted to the University are required by Law to acquire Kenya Pupil's Pass from the Department of Immigration and student should not take up studies before acquiring this important document.
REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS PASS
1. Police Clearence Certificate from your country of origin
2. Copy of the Biodata and current/valid immigration status
3. Two coloured passport size photos
4. Copy of Previously obtained academic certificate
5. Sponsorship/ Commitment letter and/or biodata of the sponsor or the bank statement in Kenya
6. Bonafide letter from either the department/Faculty/collage etc
7. Copy of Admission letter
8. COVERING LETTER FROM THE C.I.P.L. department
NOTE:
1.ANY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLYING FOR ADMISSION MUST ALSO APPLY FOR THE POLICE CLEARENCE CERTIFICATE FROM THEIR HOME COUNTRY BEFORE COMING TO KENYA.
2. For the renewal of the students pass, the police Clearence Certificate is obtainable at the C.I.D Police Head quaters a long Kiambu Road off Thika Super High way.
The CIPL has been mandated to assist the students in processing of Pupil's Pass and I am appealing to you to request all foreign students in your Faculty/School/Institute to ensure that they apply for pupils pass through this office. However, students are expected to pay for the pupils pass, facilitation and registration with CIPL and charges are as follows:
Pupils Pass - US$ 50.00 per year
Facilitation - US$ 27.00 per year
Registration - US$ 45.00 once
Total -US$ 122.00
