Brief History

The Centre for International Programmes and Links is a unit in the University of Nairobi, charged with the responsibility of initiating, promoting, facilitating and coordinating international programmes and links, staff and student exchanges and mobility, collaborative research projects and worldwide networking. In recognition of opportunities and challenges associated with globalization of education, the University of Nairobi established an interim office-the Office of International Programmes (OIP) in 1995 to handle, harmonize and coordinate University of Nairobi external Linkages with other international organizations and  institutions. In November, 2001, the University Council sanctioned the establishment of the Centre for International Programmes and Links).
