Copenhagen Business School (CBS) has launched a major academic partnership to gap European and African expertise, focusing on developing qualified leaders who are capable of addressing the global crisis. CBS is collaborating with three leading African institutions: the University of Ghana Business School, the University of Nairobi, and the University of Johannesburg with the aim of cultivating critical thinkers, ethical entrepreneurs, and responsible leaders who can navigate geopolitical uncertainty, climate pressures, and rising inequality. The three universities are granted open positions for mobility, which is a great requirement of the collaboration.
The Copenhagen Business School is mainly offering mobility in the fields of Business and Economics. In the staff mobility, the departments of Finance and Academics are the most suitable for the experience. The exposure of the academic and the finance staff will add value to the departments, and this will greatly improve the processing and handling of the collaborative agreements, exchange staff and students.
On the outgoing mobility, it is essential for a pre-departure training to be held to prepare the students and the staff adequately for the new environment. Before arrival to the new country, it was discussed that there be introduction of the “Buddy” system of incorporation to enable easy settling of the international students in the new country. Upon arrival, the mobility staff and students are required to document the key periods and places, for assessment by the mother university.
The directorate of Corporate Affairs highlighted the need for improvements in the learning methods, through Collaborative Online Platforms. An introduction of a hybrid learning system will enable access for students who cannot physically be at the other university.
