  • Korea just like Kenya was a poor developing country. However the growth and transformation of the Korean economy from 1962 to the present has truly been remarkable. Currently it’s the fourth largest economy in Asia after China, Japan and India and the twelfth largest in the world while Kenya’s economic growth is slow or negative   coupled with mounting macroeconomic imbalances and significant losses in social welfare, notably rising poverty and falling life expectancy.

A delegation form University of Nairobi comprising of, Vice Chancellor Prof. G. Magoha, Director IDS- Prof W. Mitullah, CIPL Director Prof. W.Ogara and IDS Coordinator Dr. Wanjala travelled bbetween 11th -15th March to  Bonn- Rhein -Sieg University of applied science for a preparatory measures mission aiming at a joint application to the DAAD in the framework of a South- South- North  accademic cooperation.
